KUALA LUMPUR: Trinity Group is prioritising resident safety by equipping five of its flagship developments with Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and mobility-assistance equipment.
AEDs will enable laypeople to administer life-saving electrical shocks to terminate abnormal heart rhythms for the victim, significantly increasing survival rates when used promptly with Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). AEDs are designed to be simple to use even for people without training – while waiting for the ambulance or medical help to arrive.
This initiative by Trinity Group, a developer in the Klang Valley, enables bystanders to become effective firstaiders and can potentially save lives. Through proactive efforts, the developer is championing enhanced residential safety and wellbeing.
With an aging population and the need to prioritise overall well-being, Trinity Group is taking a proactive stance on future-proofing communities. This proactive initiative equips their developments at the Trinity Lemanja, Zeva @ Equine South, Trinity Aquata, Trinity Pentamont and Trinity Wellnessa with AEDs, stretchers, and wheelchairs. This equipment will benefit an estimated 11,000 residents, providing immediate support in critical situations.
Trinity Group managing director Datuk Neoh Soo Keat said this initiative reflects Trinity Group’s unwavering commitment to community health and safety.
“By installing AEDs and providing mobility equipment, we are going beyond the usual fire safety measures and creating a more secure environment for all residents.
“They can have peace of mind knowing they are equipped for emergencies.”
This initiative also aligns with Trinity Group’s broader environmental, social and governance (ESG) goals by addressing the ‘social’ aspect of ESG and prioritising resident safety well-being, the group protects communities and fosters a greater sense of security for residents.
The total investment of approximately RM40,000 demonstrates the group’s dedication to this cause.
Trinity Group held a handover ceremony at its headquarters to present the life-saving equipment to representatives from the Joint Management Bodies (JMBs) of the participating developments Trinity Lemanja, Zeva @ Equine South, Trinity Aquata and Trinity Pentamont. The equipment will also be given to Trinity Wellnessa’s JMB once it is formed, as the project is currently near completion.
Starting 2025, it will be compulsory for AEDs to be installed at government buildings and public facilities.
“Trinity Group applauds the government’s move to make AEDs mandatory at public areas.
“On top of this, we firmly believe that AEDs should be compulsory in residential areas and all living spaces also,” said Neoh.
