First air-conditioned bus stop creates record

The Star - Thursday, 17 November 2011

KUALA LUMPUR: Property developer Trinity Group has created a new record in the Malaysia Book of Records, for designing and constructing the nation's first air-conditioned bus stop in Bandar Kinrara here.

Its managing director, Dato’ Neoh Soo Keat, said the group invested RM83,000 to design and construct the bus stop and would spend between RM1,000 and RM2,000 each month to maintain it.

“This achievement further affirms our corporate value of ‘Building Communities and Enriching Lives’ and upholds our customer-centric excellence commitment," he told reporters after launching the air-conditioned bus stop today.

He said the group planned to build more air-conditioned bus stops around Bandar Kinrara if there was positive response from the residents.

The bus stop to be fully operational by March next year will be open to the public from 6 am to 11 pm daily.

At 2.4 metres high and 7.3 metres long, it can accommodate about 40 people at any one time and is equipped with a closed-circuit camera.
