Know anyone living in Bukit Jalil? Likely, no.  In the 90s, the 1800-acre Bukit Jalil rubber estate was designated to hold the 1998 Commonwealth Games national sports complex and Technology Park Malaysia. Housing estates have otherwise not descended upon Bukit Jalil as they have in surrounding areas like OUG, Sri Petaling and Bandar Kinrara.

Part of that comes down to the land set aside as parks. Besides Taman Komanwel created for the games, there's an 80-acre public park, managed by DBKL. A large chunk of the area is also taken up by Bukit Jalil Golf Course, built by Berjaya Properties. The placid nature of this area is going up a notch with the advent of strategic transport links. Maju Expressway—the shortest link between the commercial centre of KL and Putrajaya —brings you to Bukit Bintang in less than 15 minutes without traffic jams.  The connection between Jalan 1/155B with OUG’s Jalan Awan Besar easily connects Bukit Jalil with Old Klang Road and Petaling Jaya. Come 2014 meanwhile, Jalan 1/155B will see a new LRT station as part of the Ampang line extension. In fact, a new Jaya Jusco is planned there and the prestigious Lai Meng Chinese School will relocate here from Jalan Ampang.

Launching for sale this weekend are 281 units within Block C of Z Residence, located between Bukit OUG condo and the Shah Alam Expressway. Z Residence comprises four block 26 and 27 stories high, with 1,136 units sized 1,032 - 1,407 sq ft.

Prices range from RM450,000 - RM650,000, offering price square foot of approximately RM390. During the launch, a 3% discount is offered. Booking fee is RM5000. Z Residence's developer, Trinity Group, has promised to invest RM3 million to upgrade the road linking Jalan 4/155 with Jalan BK 1/20 thus the Bukit Jalil highway. Given the proposed location of STN 02 of the Ampang LRT extension, it would take perhaps 10-15 minutes to walk there from Z Residence.
